Principal Purpose of the Job (Including Main Objectives)
To ensure that excellent quality of food is provided. To ensure that food delivery runs smoothly, efficiently and profitably and is delivered from a well run and organised kitchen that maintains and EHO rating of 5
Desirable Qualifications, Experience & Training
NVQ 4 or equivalent experience in Catering
Extensive Food knowledge and ability to work under pressure
A minimum of 5 years in a pub/restaurant/catering environment
Prefereably experience in mass catering environments: weddings, military, banqueting etc.
Authority:
Directly Responsible to General Manager
Directly Manages – Chefs assistants
Others with whom there are regular working relationships: All sectors of the club
Principle Responsibilities
To ensure that our guests are served with food that is of a high standard which is consistently maintained. The profitability of the food served needs regular reviewing to ensure accuracy, regular monthly stock checks need to be undertaken.
To ensure that the kitchens and surrounding areas are kept to a standard that ensures the maintenance of an EHO rating of 5. Food safety will be given the utmost priority, all staff that are working in this area are to trained to Basic Food Hygiene as a minimum.
