Plymouth Albion can confirm that Jamie Salter will leave the club at the end of the 2022-23 season.
Salts has been with us nine years over three spells, making over 200 appearances and establishing himself as a key player and a club legend at hooker.
Forever a professional, we will remember Salts’ career at the Brickfields with full hearts, and he is a key part of the magnificent improvements we have seen in the Ocean City this campaign.
Jamie’s last game will be against Cambridge at home this weekend, when we are looking for a big win that could potentially help us to fourth in National League One.
Speaking on his departure, Salts said: “It’s an odd feeling. I don’t think it’s quite settled in yet. I first joined the club in 2008 – I was offered a contract by Graham Dawe, and I’ve loved the club ever since then.
“Every year I’ve been at Albion, the fans have been behind us. And it does mean a lot, so a packed-out Brickfields on Saturday will be special. Running out in front of them one last time is really going to help.”
Thank you for everything Salts, and we wish you the very best of luck in your next chapter.
