Everyone at Plymouth Albion is saddened to learn of the passing of former player Roger Spurrell, aged 71.
A true West Country rugby man, Roger enjoyed a distinguished career that included spells with Plymouth Albion, Bath Rugby, Launceston, Army RFC and Cornwall.
Roger will be remembered as a fierce competitor, inspirational leader and respected figure within the game. His contribution to rugby across the South West leaves a lasting legacy.
Our thoughts are with Roger’s family, friends and former teammates at this sad time.
