After a strong finish to last season, the squad have been working hard over the summer to get themselves ready for the new campaign, and Wednesday night is their first chance to put it to the test.
Albion won seven and lost seven of their 14 fixtures at Brickfields last season, with the second half of the campaign coming together better than the first, leading to a sense of optimism that home form could be a factor towards a strong season in 2022-23.
The pre-season adventure kicks off this week against Okehampton, who finished last in the South West Premier last season, but remained in the league that has been renamed to the Regional One South West.
The university side will be the hosts of Albion’s second pre-season fixture on Saturday.
New boys in Town
Wednesday night will be an opportunity for Damian to try out some of his new signings, and there have been a few!
Tom Petty, Conrad Burne, Isaak Welch and Jack Oulton were all brought on board over the summer. We will get a taste for what they will be treating the Brickfields faithful to on Wednesday.
Weather:
Mild temperatures of 23 Degrees Celsius are forecast for the encounter, providing the perfect opportunity to get yourselves down to Brickfields to see the boys in action!
Tickets:
Tickets are £5 on the gate, but only card payments will be accepted, so please be aware of that before making your way down.
The game is not all. The new kit will be revealed before the game kicks off, and our exciting four-year plan, otherwise known as Project 150, will be showcased from 6:30 pm!
Rugby is back at Brickfields as we prepare for another busy season in National League One in the coming season.
