Plymouth Albion Launch Limited Edition Spiced Rum in Collaboration with Vault 53
Plymouth Albion is thrilled to announce a brand-new collaboration with local artisan rum distillery Vault 53, resulting in the creation of a truly special product – the Limited Edition Plymouth Albion Spiced Rum.
Crafted just up the road on Mutley Plain, inside the old Lloyds Bank building, Vault 53 has earned a reputation for doing things differently. Their artisan rum is made with care, precision and an unwavering respect for the craft. It’s produced the traditional way, entirely in-house, using raw molasses, Devon spring water and hand-selected yeast. From fermentation to triple distillation, every step of the process happens inside their beautifully restored Victorian bank – where the rum ages quietly in the original vaults.

This collaboration has been in development for some time, and we are incredibly proud to finally share it with the Albion community.
A True Craft Partnership
Vault 53’s approach to rum is meticulous and passion-driven. Their team takes pride in sourcing private spring water, selecting specific yeast strains, using a hand-beaten copper still to capture the perfect vapours, and choosing the ideal woods for their aging barrels. Temperature, humidity and aging conditions are monitored constantly inside the old banking vaults where every bottle develops its depth and character.
The result is a rum perfected over time, shaped by craftsmanship and patience – and ready to be enjoyed in the moment.

To celebrate this collaboration, Vault 53 has produced just 200 bottles of the Limited Edition Plymouth Albion Spiced Rum.
