Once a week we will be doing a Q&A with our players to find out what they have been up to in the various lockdowns and what they are looking forward to when the Rugby is back. Next up, Setareki Raumakita!
What’s been the one thing you have missed about a match day at Brickfields?
‘I miss the Excitement on game day, the routine, the boys, seeing and hearing the fans psyched up cheering on the Team, and catching up with friends from the opposition you’ve crossed paths with in the past and not forgetting the supporters.’
What is something about away days you didn’t realise you’d miss so much?
‘Probably the card games to delegate who’s on coffee duties on the next stop lol and having a couple of beers if it’s a good day at the office.’
How has the team been able to integrate the new additions to the squad in this peculiar time?
‘Think it’s after the first Lockdown that we’ve been managed to train together when restrictions were lifted was good to see the new addition grafting hard for each other and looking forward to playing alongside them.’
What is something you’ve tried/started doing again since the season was cancelled that you didn’t think you had time for?
‘I’ve been doing a lot of cycling and funny enough sea swimming (my family back home in Fiji think I’m crazy lol) in this time of the year!!! Gives you a reason to enjoy a hot cup of coffee later I guess lol’
How have you been able to work on Rugby throughout the varies Lockdowns?
‘Managed to squeeze in a few skills training sess but mostly I’ve been doing a lot of fitness based stuff so more running, cycling, rowing!’
