Once a week we will be doing a Q&A with our players to find out what they have been up to in the various lockdowns and what they are looking forward to when the Rugby is back. Next up Herbie Stupple!
What’s been the one thing you have missed about a match day at Brickfields?
‘I miss the running out on to the field and hearing the fans roar for the boys and the feeling of a victory on our home turf.’
What is something about away days you didn’t realise you’d miss so much?
‘Awaydays have always been a bit of a mental battle for me after working all week and being away from my kids at the weekend.’
How has the team been able to integrate the new additions to the squad in this peculiar time?
‘Think the guys have integrated the new additions well. We have been able to get quite a bit done in the time we had before restrictions were tightened.’
What is something you’ve tried/started doing again since the season was cancelled that you didn’t think you had time for?
‘I have started a new job as a roofer in the last year and really enjoyed it. This has sorted me out for life after rugby and even better I work for one of my best pals’ business.’
How have you been able to work on Rugby throughout the various Lockdowns?
‘I have made up a gym in our works unit which is coming along well. Also lost 13kg in weight with the amount of work I have been doing.’
