Our Game Against Cambridge Will Be Arranged For Another Date

General   Latest News

Even after ever effort to ensure that the pitch would be in a playable condition the decision has been taken out of our hands.

A statement from Steve Harland at the RFU:

“I have this morning carried out a pitch inspection at Plymouth Albion and with much regret have made a decision to call the game off.

I would like to make it very clear that much effort has been made by Plymouth Albion to get this game on and that currently, the pitch is fit to play on.  However, the forecast over the next 36 hours (and beyond) and taking in to account the instructions from the NCA by email yesterday there is a clear safety issue with travel and also the rain and wind that is forecast during the period that the game is in progress.

Whilst understanding the importance of doing our best to keep the rugby programme on schedule it is not a decision made lightly”.
