OSCAR STEWART SIGNS FOR ALBION AS 31st ADDITION TO 2025/26 SQUAD
Plymouth Albion are delighted to welcome Oscar Stewart to Brickfields for the 2025/26 season, as the Exeter-born centre becomes the 31st confirmed signing in a squad that continues to build with balance, ambition, and intent.
A powerful and intelligent backline presence, Stewart arrives with both Super BUCS Rugby experience and a full season of National League 1 rugby already under his belt.
A Career Rising Through University and League Rugby
Oscar first made his mark in the game at Topsham RFC, where he came through the junior ranks before moving into higher education at Swansea University. There, he captained the university’s Super BUCS side, one of the UK’s premier student rugby competitions, and was part of the squad that claimed the Welsh Varsity title in 2022.
His leadership on and off the pitch marked him as a standout talent in the student game, but it was his decision to step away from university for a year that confirmed his National League credentials.
In the 2023/24 season, Oscar joined Taunton Titans and played 24 matches, scoring 27 points at National League 1 level. His ability to break the line, organise defensively, and contribute on the scoreboard caught the attention of Albion’s coaching team, and he now joins a growing midfield unit at Brickfields.
Eyes on the Future
“Signing for Albion has me really excited,” said Stewart. “Ryan has big plans for the club and I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of it. Can’t wait to get in and get to work.”
Oscar is the latest in a string of signings that reflects a clear vision: building a team with strong character, local roots, and the hunger to grow. With pre-season fixtures on the horizon and the 150th season fast approaching, the squad now sits at 31 confirmed names with more to follow over the summer.
