As part of the ongoing drive to revamp the Brickfields site for the start of the 21/22 season, the club is proud to announce a new three-year distribution and sponsorship deal with the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler LWC.
The most notable aspect of the deal is the rebranding and redecoration of the old Bidfood Marquee into the new ‘Old J Rum Marquee’. With a huge variety of Old J rums available, there will be a dram to suit any palate!
The club faithful will also be especially pleased to note that, as a part of the deal, Budweiser, Thatchers and Guinness will be part of a ‘Happy Hour’ promotion from 1 pm until 2 pm on matchdays at just £3 per pint.
Speaking about the deal, Kirsty Mcdonald from LWC said “we are excited to sign up with Albion as their ambitions certainly align with LWC. We are a national business but with a very local feel and see a very bright future as we look to provide a sterling service for the Brickfields faithful”.
Bar and hospitality manager at the club Nicola Westlake added “For 6 months before COVID I worked in all the bars, spoke with lots and lots of supporters and it was apparent that a vocal group weren’t happy with the quality of some of the products available behind the bar. We’ve listened and we have changed it! You are a massive part of this rugby club and your voice matters”.
In addition to the headline-grabbing offers, the deal will see a huge amount of behind the scenes support in revamping the bars and cellars to ensure a vastly improved speed of service and quality of drinks available.
