Three More Players Commit to Plymouth Albion for 2026/27
We’re delighted to confirm that Jake Bond and Jenson Boughton have both committed their futures to Plymouth Albion ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The trio bring a blend of physicality, experience and depth as our squad continues to take shape for the new campaign.
Jake Bond returns for his fourth season at Brickfields after another committed campaign in green and white. While he spent periods out on loan last season, Jake featured on several occasions for Albion and continued to show why he’s such a valuable member of the squad. Standing at 6ft 1in, the powerful forward always gives everything when he pulls on an Albion shirt and adds important depth to our pack.
Jake said: “I’m really pleased to be staying at Albion. It’s a club that means a lot to me and I’m excited to keep pushing myself and contributing to the team. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in again and helping us build something strong this season.”
Jenson Boughton also returns after an unfortunate end to his third season with the club. The former England Under-18 international and Gloucester Academy player was enjoying another strong campaign before suffering an ACL injury that ruled him out for the closing stages of the season. A huge presence on and off the pitch and a popular figure around Brickfields, Jenson is progressing well in his recovery and we’re looking forward to welcoming him back when the time is right.
Jenson said: “It was tough to end last season the way it did, but I’m working hard on my recovery and feeling positive. Albion is a great place to be and I can’t wait to get back out there with the boys and contribute again.”
Jake and Jenson now join Sam Daly, Jarrard Hayler, Iwan Jenkins, Chris Preen, James Kenny, Noah Fenton, Max Surry, Morgan Eames, Jack Oulton, Dan Pullinger, Morgan Stone, Archie Hill, Shea Cornish, Jake Clemson, Bobby Wigginton, Harry Legg, Ben Moa, Oscar Stewart, Liam Bishop, Joel Broadhurst, Harvey Courtis, Josh MacAndrew, Ben Sharpe and Henry Sellick as our squad continues to grow ahead of the new season.
