Plymouth Albion are delighted to confirm the signing of Gabe Mead ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Gabe has vital experience in the academies at both Bristol and Exeter, as well as a key part of the Cardiff Met squad. He has also plied his trade with Taunton at youth level.
Having waved goodbye to Jamie Salter at the end of last season, Gabe coming in at hooker is a fantastic replacement as the squad continues to get bigger and better.
Ahead of his arrival, Gabe said: “Signing for Plymouth Albion is an amazing feeling. I have been following their growth over the last year, which has made it even more exciting to be part of next season.
“I am also looking forward to a new environment with the club and living in a new city.”
Head coach Ryan Lamb added: “It’s great to have Gabe coming to the club. Obviously, he’s another member of the contingent from Cardiff Met. He did very well in the BUCS super Rugby.
“He’s another very ambitious young player, and to have him among many others is fantastic for us.”
