The final away game of the 2022-23 season brings us up north one last time to Leeds.
Only two games remain in a terrific National League One campaign that has seen us win three on the road, and we will look to make it four on Saturday.
We face a Leeds side that took victory against us last season at The Sycamores, but we claimed two bonus points on a solid day.
We have won two of our last three in Nat One, but our last victory away arrived back in February against Hull. Tykes have been on a wretched run of form of late, tasting defeat in all of their last seven – including heavy ones at the hands of ourselves and Cambridge. Incidentally, their last win was also against Hull at home.
Their recent troubles have ultimately confirmed their relegation to National League Two, and they have two fixtures remaining before they bow out; they visit Taunton next weekend before hosting Rosslyn Park.
For Ryan Lamb’s men, victory on Saturday will keep us fifth, but hope remains of climbing into the top four depending on how Rosslyn Park end the season.
This season’s meetings:
After our initial meeting at the Brickfields was postponed in December, we took a commanding 51-12 victory over Leeds a couple of months ago.
Travel:
A near six-hour journey up the M5, the M42 and the M1 brings you up past Bristol, Leicester and Sheffield before arriving at the Sycamores for this weekend’s fixture.
