Jones Departs Albion

Latest News

We are disappointed to confirm that Phil Jones has left Plymouth Albion following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

Phil joined the squad in 2021, and has since amassed over 50 appearances for the club. He hit the 50 mark during the 2023-24 campaign at Darlington Mowden Park, helping us to a win.

Scoring five tries and just under 100 points, Phil has established himself as a key member of the squad at Fly-Half at Full-Back over the last three years, and his impact on the pitch will be missed tremendously.

Off the pitch too, the Welshman’s infectious personality and brilliant sense of humour brought a fantastic morale to the dressing room, and he became an extremely popular member of the group.

Of his departure, Phil said: “It’s been a great few years at the club and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. It’s sad to be leaving Albion as it’s an awesome place to be, and the fans are second to none. I will definitely be back next season to catch up with everyone!”

Thank you so much Phil, and best of luck!
