JAKE CLEMSON RETURNS FOR FOURTH SEASON AS ALBION CONFIRM 30TH SIGNING
Plymouth Albion are pleased to confirm that experienced back row forward Jake Clemson has re-signed for the 2025/26 season, becoming the 30th confirmed player in a squad that continues to grow in strength and ambition.
Standing at 6’6, Jake brings presence, leadership and a wealth of National League and Championship experience into the new campaign, having played over 120 senior games across his career.
A Career Built Across the South West
Originally born in Gibraltar, Jake grew up in St Ives, where he began his rugby journey at a young age. His natural athleticism and drive saw him selected for the England U18s, before launching his senior career with Redruth in 2017.
He then progressed to Cornish Pirates, where he featured in over 20 matches, including spells on loan back to Redruth. In 2021, Jake joined Plymouth Albion and has since become a consistent figure in the matchday squad, offering line-out presence, mobility, and a calm head in the back row.
Now entering his fourth season at Brickfields, Jake’s return adds further depth and dependability to a forward pack that continues to evolve.
“The club and the squad is in a place where we could do something special,” Jake said. “I’m excited to play a part in that story for another year.”
A Milestone Signing
Jake becomes Albion’s 19th re-signing of the summer and the 30th player overall to commit to the club ahead of what promises to be a competitive and historic 2025/26 season.
With the core of the squad now firmly in place, attention turns to further signings and potential loan additions as the season draws closer.
Pre-Season Fixtures Ahead
Plymouth Albion are also finalising a strong pre-season schedule, with August fixtures set to include matchups against Bridgend, Exeter Chiefs U23s, and St Austell.
