JACK OULTON NAMED NATIONAL LEAGUE 1 SCRUM-HALF OF THE SEASON
Plymouth Albion are proud to announce that Jack Oulton has been named National League 1 Scrum-Half of the Season for 2024/25, recognising his outstanding performances, leadership, and consistency throughout the season.
The award, presented by National League Rugby, celebrates the top performers across the division and Oulton’s selection comes as no surprise to anyone who’s watched Albion this season.
Consistently Classy, Relentlessly Effective
Jack has been the heartbeat of Albion’s attacking play this season, delivering game control, speed of thought, and pinpoint accuracy from the base. He crossed the line for six tries, created numerous assists, and produced a string of highlight moments that turned matches in Albion’s favour.
Whether sparking a break, delivering quick ball, or marshalling the pack with poise under pressure, Jack’s performances have defined the level of excellence expected in the nine jersey.
“Jack’s been a standout all year,” said head coach Ryan Lamb. “He’s a competitor, a technician, and someone the team looks to in the big moments. This recognition is fully deserved.”
A Reflection of Hard Work and Ambition
Originally joining Albion with Championship experience under his belt, Jack has embraced his role as a senior figure in the squad. His game intelligence, relentless work rate, and presence on the pitch have helped set the tone for the team’s growth this season, playing a huge roll in Albion’s 10 game winning streak.
“It’s a real honour to be named scrum-half of the season,” Jack shared. “This has been a great year with a great group of lads. I’m proud to represent Albion and looking forward to building on this next season.”
Jack becomes a stand out name in the growing list of players confirmed for the 2025/26 season, one that promises to be a milestone in the club’s 150-year story.
