Shea Cornish Re-Signs with Plymouth Albion
We are delighted to confirm that Shea Cornish has re-signed with Plymouth Albion ahead of the 2026/27 season.
A familiar face at Brickfields and one of the league’s most dangerous attacking players, Shea will continue his Albion journey after first joining the club from Redruth ahead of the 2019/20 season.
The former Cornwall Under-20 standout has established himself as a key part of Albion’s backline, combining pace, footwork, and an eye for the try line to become a constant threat out wide.
Following a spell in the Championship with Coventry during the 2022/23 season, Shea returned to Brickfields and quickly re-established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.
His 2024/25 campaign saw him make 20 appearances and score seven tries, many of them arriving in crucial moments. Whether beating defenders in broken play or finishing opportunities in the wide channels, Shea has become a vital part of Albion’s attacking identity.
Unfortunately, his 2025/26 season was cut short through injury after a strong start to the campaign, but he now returns fully focused on helping the club push forward in the season ahead.
His re-signing is another significant boost as preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign, retaining a player with proven quality, experience, and the ability to deliver in big moments.
Shea Cornish said:
“I’m really excited to be staying at Albion this season and seeing what we can achieve. We’ve already got a good group of boys here and the additions we’re making only strengthen that as we push for promotion.”
Shea Cornish is proudly sponsored by The Prue Family, who continue their valued support into the 2026/27 season.
