Arborcure Continue as Plymouth Albion’s Grounds Maintenance Partner

Plymouth Albion is pleased to confirm that Arborcure will continue as the club’s Official Grounds Maintenance Partner for the 2026/27 season, continuing a relationship that extends well beyond traditional sponsorship.

A familiar name at Brickfields, Arborcure supports the club with aspects of the ongoing maintenance of the pitch and surrounding site, including pitch marking, grounds maintenance and expert advice.

Their presence is also prominent on matchdays through the Arborcure Marquee, which plays an important role within the Brickfields hospitality and events offering throughout the year.

More Than a Logo at Brickfields

Arborcure’s relationship with Plymouth Albion is a practical partnership that helps support the day-to-day operation and presentation of Brickfields.

Working alongside the club, the Arborcure team assists with maintaining areas of the site and ensuring the pitch is prepared throughout a busy rugby season.

Their work includes ongoing maintenance, pitch marking and providing specialist grounds advice when required.

The Arborcure Marquee further strengthens their presence at the ground. Used throughout Albion matchdays as well as for non-matchday events, the space has become an established part of the facilities at Brickfields.

Over 20 Years of Experience

With more than 20 years of trading, Arborcure has deep roots in Plymouth and provides professional tree and grounds services backed by specialist training and industry qualifications.

Staff have undertaken intensive training and assessment at the internationally renowned Kingswood Training in Kent, covering areas ranging from tree felling and timber processing to advanced climbing, ropework and dismantling operations.

The team is trained across the safe maintenance and operation of chainsaws, aerial rescue, use of chainsaws from a rope and harness, brushwood chippers, stump grinders and other specialist equipment.

Arborcure also provides tree safety inspections and reports to British Standard 8516, with relevant courses and qualifications complying with National Proficiency Test Council standards.

Safety remains central to its work, with staff trained to undertake risk assessments before work begins alongside regular First Aid refresher training and aerial rescue practice.

The company works in accordance with guidelines set by the Arboricultural and Forestry Advisory Group and Health and Safety Executive, with a focus on delivering work safely and to a high professional standard.

Rooted in Plymouth

As a local business, Arborcure’s relationship with Albion also reflects its commitment to the city and community in which it operates.

Matt Neale of Arborcure said:

“Arborcure has deep roots in Plymouth and takes pride in its relationship with the local community. Supporting Plymouth Albion allows it to invest directly in a prominent local institution with high expectations for the coming season.

“Arborcure isn’t simply putting its logo on a board. It is the club’s grounds maintenance partner, looking after aspects of the Brickfields pitch and surrounding site, including ongoing maintenance, pitch marking and expert grounds advice.”

James Greenacre, Commercial Director at Plymouth Albion, said:

“Arborcure is a great example of what we want a partnership with Plymouth Albion to look like. Their contribution goes far beyond simply having their name visible at Brickfields.

“Matt and the team provide us with practical expertise and support around the ground, helping with the pitch and wider site throughout the season. That makes them an important part of what happens behind the scenes here.

“The Arborcure Marquee also gives the partnership a really visible presence. It has become an important space for us on matchdays and for events outside of rugby, so their name is connected with Brickfields throughout the year.

“We’re extremely grateful for their continued support and for the work they put into the club. We’re looking forward to continuing to build the relationship throughout 2026/27.”

Arborcure’s continued involvement demonstrates how commercial relationships can provide both valuable support for the club and practical expertise that contributes directly to the operation of Brickfields.

We would like to thank Matt and the entire Arborcure team for their continued backing of Plymouth Albion.
