Please join us in congratulating Alex Ducker who won the National 1 Player of the Week after his outstanding tries from the weekend.
Since the start of the new year, both Alex and the team have come into great form culminating in a huge win over then second in the league Rosslyn Park on Saturday. The game completely changed in the second half with Connor Eastgate moving to fly-half. This led to Eastgate kicking the ball up and over the defensive line for Ducker to retrieve and put pass the try line twice! These huge plays meant than any late surge from Rosslyn Park was not going to be enough.
Both Ducker and his wing partner Shea Cornish have proven to be big weapons in Scaysbrooks offence in the teams 2020 unbeaten run.
Scaysbrook went on to say after the game: “The whole game opened up in the second half because of the work that was done in the first 55 minutes, He certainly played a massive part of that in the second half as we managed to pull a couple of scores away”.
The whole club is pleased to see Alex’s effort and ability is recognised by those beyond the Devon border!
