Albion Travel to Second-Placed Chinnor

Latest News

Plymouth Albion’s next assignment comes in the shape of in-form Chinnor as we look to break our deadlock for second place in National League 1.

We come into the encounter in Oxfordshire off the back of victory over Blackheath at the Brickfields last time out – the boys getting back to winning ways with a bonus point success.

It is the first of two consecutive away trips as we continue our busy run through to Christmas, with a visit to Richmond following next weekend.

Chinnor have recorded some big wins of late, putting 48 or more points on the board in victories over the likes of Rosslyn Park and Blackheath.

Their impressive performances lately have lifted them above Ryan Lamb’s side on points difference and, having each tasted defeat on just two occasions this season, this will be an exciting encounter.

Last Season’s Meetings:

We took two wins last campaign over Chinnor – both in extremely tense encounters – so we’re expecting another tight and exhilarating battle on Saturday too!

Team News:

Jenson Boughton comes back into the starting line-up at Tighthead Prop, with the rest of the forward pack remaining the same. Pita Ratukadreu has picked up a hamstring injury, bringing Craig Duncan over to Left Wing while Tom Putt returns from injury to start at Full-Back.

Jake Bond returns to the bench, while Connor Eastgate is also back in. Jesse Lowe misses out through tonsilitis.

Torin Clarke is set to make his 50th appearance in Albion colours having joined the club in 2021.
