Albion to host Devon Senior County Rugby

Community   General

Devon RFU Representative Rugby and Plymouth Albion RFC have formed a partnership for the up and coming County Championship. Plymouth Albion will be providing support towards the running of the Senior men’s campaign from coaches, players, management and support staff.

Head Coach Michael Lewis has been tasked with leading the team to victory!

“I am really excited to be part of the County set up this year. I feel that we can really reward players from across the county for their hard work throughout the season with an enjoyable and valued County rugby experience.

We really want the best players from all levels of the game in Devon to represented, and with the mix of the Albion coaches, team managers from local clubs and with my links at the community levels we can really build something good which will stand the test of time.

Our first open session is on the 15th January at Plymouth Albion (19:00 Meet) and we would like all players, no matter which club they play for to attend and coaches at clubs across the county to nominate players the players they think would give it a shout.

This is an exciting new opportunity to grow the game across the county and reignite the County player pathway at the Senior level.”
