Albion Take Victory over Rams

Latest News   Match Reports

Plymouth Albion took a fantastic win over Rams at the Brickfields on Saturday afternoon to record their third consecutive victory.

Tries from Tom Cowan-Dickie, Ramaz Rukhadze, Morgan Stone and Archie Hill secured a bonus-point win in Plymouth.

Rams started the better of the two sides, and they were rewarded with the opening try of the afternoon through Zach Clow in the opening 10 minutes.

Albion responded brilliantly though, and levelled up through Tom Cowan-Dickie’s second try in as many games from a driving maul.

A maul of Rams’ own resulted in Max Hayman inching the visitor back in front, but the Janners again came right back – Ramaz Rukhadze crashing over after Albion stole a Rams line-out.

The lead was extended moments before the break by Morgan Stone, sending Albion into the sheds 21-12 to the good.

Rams made another strong start to the second half, and Robbie Stapley pulled a score back. Albion spent the following 10 minutes applying mountainous pressure on Rams’ defence, and it paid off when Archie Hill was set away by Gabe Mead to score.

Hayman scored his second of the game late on to give Rams hope, but Albion held on for a 28-22 win.
