Albion Take Victory in Final Home Game of 2023

Latest News

Plymouth Albion maintained their 100 per cent home record heading into the Christmas with a 22-3 win over Sedgley.

The opening 10 minutes did not yield any try line action, but some intriguing phases saw both sides swap scrums and penalties as both tried to grab the early foothold.

Sedgley drew first blood when Warren Seals knocked through a penalty for three points, but two tries by Gabe Mead either side of a missed penalty by the visiting Fly-Half gave Albion the lead heading into the break.

Tom Putt added another three points from the tee early in the second half, and significant Albion pressure was sustained from there.

Hallam Chapman added another after some excellent phases in the 22, and Sonny Hirini looked to be away for another before Sedgley recovered numbers to thwart the break.

The hosts were dominant in the final 15 minutes as they retained territory and possession, seeing off Sedgley for a 22-3 win.
