Plymouth Albion made it three wins from three in pre-season by taking a commanding 45-3 victory over Barnstaple on Saturday.
A solid start by the visitors almost saw them go over the whitewash on more than one occasion but Albion would find their feet, with Morgan Stone scoring the first of the afternoon.
A Barnstaple penalty got them back into the conversation, but a driving mall from Albion restored the comfortable cushion – Tom Cowan-Dickie driving over.
Stone grabbed another before the break, and the hosts continued their dominance into the second period. Seta Raumakita sped over after some neat build-up on the left side.
Stone got his hattrick when he ran clear after the hour mark, and more quality attacking play saw Phil Jones and Tom Putts go over to complete the rout.
Jake Clemson, Jon Dawe and Herbie Stupple were all withdrawn in the first half due to injuries, while Connor Eastgate’s day was ended in the second 40 when he took a whack to the knee. We wish all of them a speedy recovery.
