We keep the heart of Albion beating beyond Brickfields. The Plymouth Albion Community team exists to bring the spirit of rugby to life across our city and surrounding areas.
Our mission is simple: to help people stay active, build meaningful connections, and discover a passion for sport. Whether in schools, local clubs, or community spaces, we’re here to make rugby accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for everyone.
What We Do
From classrooms to community pitches, our team delivers a range of engaging, rugby-themed programmes designed to make a lasting difference.
- In-school and after-school coaching
Tailored, curriculum-based sessions that use rugby to teach teamwork, communication, and confidence. - Super Saturdays
Fun, inclusive events at Brickfields where children of all ages can experience the Albion atmosphere. - Events and fundraisers
Bringing our community together through sport, celebration, and shared purpose.

The Vospers Programme
Plymouth Albion and Vospers have teamed up to make a real difference in the community, launching an exciting initiative aimed at revitalising rugby in Plymouth’s primary schools.
By bringing professional coaching directly into PE lessons and after-school sessions, the programme is helping hundreds of children develop new skills, grow in confidence, and experience the values of rugby firsthand.
Making a Big Impact
Since its launch, the initiative has already delivered impressive results:
🏉 14 primary schools across the PL1 and PL2 areas are actively participating
👨🏫 Three dedicated community coaches are leading sessions every week
⏳ Over 90 coaching hours per month are being delivered
👦 More than 300 children are engaged in rugby training each week
Who We Are
Our Community Team brings a wealth of experience and passion for development both on and off the pitch.
With backgrounds spanning ERCA, ERRA, DOR, England Deaf Rugby, Devon PDG, and BUCS-level coaching, they bring professional expertise to every programme.
And they’re not alone. You’ll often spot familiar faces from the Plymouth Albion Men’s squad lending a hand, inspiring young players, and showing what it means to be part of the Albion community.
