Albion Fall To Defeat In London

Latest News   Match Reports

A clinical attacking display by Blackheath saw them take a bonus point win over Plymouth Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts opened the scoring early through a line-out drive, and minutes later the same move resulted in the same outcome.

Morgan Stone was sent to the bin or 10 minutes in between the two tries for a high tackle, and Blackheath capitalised.

Andrew Denham ran in to grab their third following some more solid attacking work, before Gabe Mead pulled one back just before the break.

Jake Lloyd took advantage of a loose pass to run in the fourth shortly into the second half, before a burst of pace from Jake Hennessey took him over too.

Torin Clarke’s first try of the season sealed Albion’s second try of the day as the visitors sought a fightback, and Blackheath picked up a yellow of their own when Billy Harding was sent off for 10 minutes, providing an opportunity for the Janners to try to get more points on the board.

But Blackheath’s lead was further extended by Tom Ffitch’s penalty, and the home side saw out the win as they claimed three in a row for the first time this season.
