Wilkinson and Taylor Return as Pre-Season Gets Underway
We’re delighted to confirm that Harry Wilkinson and Huw Taylor have both re-signed with Plymouth Albion ahead of the 2026/27 season.
With the squad returning for the first day of pre-season, the pair become the latest players to commit their futures to Brickfields as preparations begin for the new campaign.
Harry Wilkinson enjoyed another outstanding season in an Albion shirt, once again proving himself to be one of the most valuable members of the squad.
Named Clubman of the Year, Harry’s versatility saw him fill several roles throughout the campaign while maintaining consistently high standards. Featuring in 25 matches, scoring 10 tries and being part of a side that won 72% of the games he played in, Harry’s impact stretched far beyond the scoresheet.
Whether starting or coming off the bench, Harry has become one of the players the coaching staff can always rely on.
Harry Wilkinson said:
“I’m delighted to be back for another season. This club means a lot to me and I’m excited to get back in with the lads. We’ve built a brilliant group over the last couple of years and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together this season.”
Joining Harry is experienced back row forward Huw Taylor sponsored by Smarta Switch, who made an immediate impression after arriving midway through last season.
Despite featuring in just nine matches, Huw’s leadership, professionalism and experience quickly became clear both on and off the field.
Having joined Albion from Major League Rugby side Seattle Seawolves, following previous spells with Worcester Warriors and Dragons, Huw brings a wealth of top-level experience to Ryan Lamb’s squad.
Now with a full pre-season ahead of him, Huw will play a key role as Albion continue building towards the new campaign.
Huw Taylor said:
*“Really excited to have re-signed with Albion. I have thoroughly enjoyed the short time I have spent here and the boys and club have welcomed my family and I with open arms.
I can’t wait to help lead this club back to where they belong, with a great fan base behind us.”*
Harry and Huw now join an exciting group of players already confirmed for the 2026/27 season as our squad continues to take shape ahead of another big year at Brickfields.
With pre-season now underway, excitement continues to build ahead of our home fixtures against Cornish Pirates and Exeter University.
Season tickets for the 2026/27 season are available now.
